LANCASTER LETTERS
DID LNP CENSOR / SUPPRESS?
YOU DECIDE
On this page is the original letter submitted to LNP and LNP's version of the letter they posted. After seeing how much LNP changed this letter you decide if what LNP did was censorship and suppression.
The original letter was 247 words in length and consisted of 11 sentences. The letter LNP posted was only 165 words in length and consisted of only 7 sentences. LNP removed 1/3 of the letter's content and of the remaining 7 sentences LNP reworded 4 of them. The LNP editor also added her own content.
The author of the letter emailed the LNP editor and asked who changed his letter and why. The following is the reply he received from LNP's Opinion Editor, Suzanne Cassidy: >>> "I am in charge of the Opinion section. I bear ultimate responsibility for how the letter was edited".
Before you read and compare the two letters:
The reason behind the letter was the author wanted to point out to independent and undecided voters that the democrats are the party/people that are using hate to divide the country and how they are using violence against republicans. The author feels by LNP removing so much content and rewriting the letter LNP removed his message and LNP did this intentionally because they did not want their readers seeing democrats portrayed in such a negative way just before the 2018 midterm elections.
BELOW IN BLACK TEXT IS THE ORIGINAL LETTER. THE BOX BELOW THE ORIGINAL LETTER IN BLUE TEXT IS WHAT LNP POSTED.
THE ORIGINAL LETTER (247 Word).
Ever since Obama taught the Democratic Party how effective the emotion hate can be to divide people into groups, hate became the democrats' primary political weapon. For years the following words/names have been used to describe republicans by the democrats, the liberal news media and parroted constantly by LNP letter writers. Evil, Nazis, fascist, white supremacist, raciest, xenophobe, homophobe, deplorable dregs of society, etc.. It did not take long for the hate propaganda to start prompting violence from the left. The propaganda became so ruthless it spurred the assassination of police officers and then Republican congress members were ambushed and shot. Violence and the destruction of property is now the norm from democrats at protests and speaking engagement. Instead of denouncing violence, democrat congress members are calling for democrats to get in republicans' faces and harass them and using violence is ok because republicans are evil. Hillary Clinton believes democrats cannot be civil to republicans and now republican candidates are being physically attacked. Wearing MAGA hats attract violence, vehicles are burned because of Trump and American flag stickers and I could go on and on.
You just can't keep pushing hate and using violence the way the democrats have for as long as they have and not expect violent push back eventually like the delivery of bombs on 10/24. How can anyone honestly believe democrats deserve to hold any political power anywhere, especially a majority in congress? Send all democrats a clear message by voting straight Republican.

In my opinion, ever since President Barack Obama taught the Democratic Party how effective hate can be to divide people into groups, hate became the Democrats' primary political weapon. For years, Democrats, the liberal news media and LNP letter writers have used the following words/names to describe Republicans: evil, Nazis, fascist, white supremacist, racist, xenophobe, homophobe, deplorable, dregs of society, etc. It did not take long for the hate propaganda to start prompting violence from the left. Police officers have been assassinated; Republican members of Congress were ambushed by a shooter at a baseball field.
Instead of denouncing violence, Democratic Congress members are calling for Democrats to get in Republicans' faces and harass them. Wearing "Make America Great Again" hats attracts violence, vehicles are burned because of President Donald Trump and I could go on and on.
How can anyone honestly believe Democrats deserve to hold any political power anywhere, especially a majority in Congress? Send all Democrats a clear message by voting straight Republican.
LNP's email also included her reasons for rewriting the letter. The reasons included "factually inaccurate", "exact words" (meaning that paraphrasing was unacceptable and exact words should have been used), "That's simply untrue", "did not want anyone to misinterpret what you were saying". --- > Anyone that watches Fox News or gets news from conservative sources knows the letter's content was accurate and true exposing LNP's bias as the reason for removing it.
LNP'S LETTER POLICY
If you read LNP's letter policy nowhere does it state that paraphrasing is not allowed or exact words must be used or the content will be omitted. It also does not state they will remove anything 'they feel' is inaccurate. Anyone who reads LNP letters regularly knows paraphrasing is used often and liberal letters are constantly full of inaccuracies yet liberal inaccuracies are printed regulary. The policy states letters will only be edited for length, no where does it state that LNP will rewrite your letter or add their own content to it. The policy also does not mention they will remove sentences 'they feel' people might misinterpret what a letter writters is trying to say.
